On March 20th 2009 the round table discussion organized by the Institute of Society Transformation (Kyiv) with the assistance of Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Ukraine within the frame of project “Development of self-governance in Ukraine: decentralization and deregulation” was held at “Max-Wall” business centre (Boryspil).
Subject of the round table discussion was “Reformation of the authorities system in Ukraine: decentralization and deregulation. Conduct of local self-government reform and reform of election legislation in Ukraine in accordance with requisitions of European integration”. The round-table objective was discussion on distribution of powers and functions of the political and administrative governance both at central and local levels; to work out plan of actions aiming successful implementation of the reform of local municipal self-governance in Ukraine.
The key notes were presented by Oleh Soskin, Chief of the project and Director of the Institute of Society Transformation and Anatoliy Fedorchuk, Mayor of Boryspil.
The first persons of Kyiv region authority bodies, mayors and heads of Country Councils, members of the Municipal and Country Councils of Chernigiv, Kyiv and Zhitomir regions, members of the Executive Committee of Boryspil Municipal Council, leading Ukrainian experts, and mass media representatives participated in the round-table session.
Andrey Razumniy, SOCPC “Max-Well” CEO welcomed and acquainted the round-table participants with the business opportunities of the pharmaceutical plant “Max-Well” and presented the recently opened modern and comfortable Business Center.
